Role: Asphalt Foreman
Location: Edmonton, AB
 
Overview: Our client, a leader in civil construction, is currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman to join their team for the 2024 construction paving season and beyond. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the asphalt paving operations while ensuring safety and efficiency.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and lead crews in operating equipment and performing labor-intensive tasks.
• Engage in various manual labor tasks that require significant physical effort.
• Conduct daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operations begin.
• Operate a variety of equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and actively participate in any required training related to the position.
• Capable of working under diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Completion of a Leadership for Safety Excellence course is mandatory.
• A minimum of two to three years of experience in managing an asphalt crew.
• Current certification in First Aid is required.
