They are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. They are currently seeking an exceptionally experienced and proficient Senior Foreman to lead their project teams.
Job Description:
As a Senior Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in directing and coordinating complex groundworks and excavation projects. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing construction crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and overseeing project operations. The key responsibilities encompass:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Provide expert guidance and leadership to construction teams, setting the benchmark for work quality, safety, and efficiency.
Project Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of groundworks and excavation projects, including excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce stringent safety protocols and regulations, conduct safety training, and ensure all personnel comply with safety guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure that excavation and groundworks meet or exceed quality standards and align with client specifications.
Equipment Management: Manage the deployment of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and safe, efficient operation.
Resource and Material Management: Efficiently allocate materials, supplies, and resources necessary for the project, minimizing waste and optimizing productivity.
Client Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing project-related concerns, providing regular progress updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues or obstacles that may arise during the project, finding effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of daily activities, work completed, and any deviations from the project plan.
Reporting: Deliver comprehensive reports to the Project Manager, outlining project status, progress, and any issues requiring attention.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification or education in construction management is an advantage).
- Extensive experience as a Senior Foreman in groundworks, excavation, or civil construction.
- In-depth knowledge of excavation and groundworks processes, methods, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in operating and understanding heavy equipment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and permits in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.
This is a full-time position based in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.
