Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on the job site, including coordinating subcontractors, scheduling, and ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate delays or setbacks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team members to provide project updates and address any concerns.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Work closely with the project management team to develop and adjust project schedules as needed.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are ordered, delivered, and utilized efficiently.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among on-site staff and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in site supervision or construction management.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Vancouver.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate on-site teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education:
  • A degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in construction site safety (e.g., Construction Safety Officer) is an asset.
