Manchester University has picked the contractors it will use for new projects worth up to £10m. Among these we find Kier, Graham Construction and Willmott Dixon. With an ambitious programme of over £1bn over the next six years the University is planning improvements to its main campus. The construction works include refurbishment, landscaping, new build and demolition.
Electricians working on Crossrail are warning that the £14.8bn route will not be ready in time for its planned opening in 2018.
