We have a vacancy for a Project Manager based in our southern region. We have a number of opportunities stretching along the M5 corridor which will come to fruition during the course of next year. These opportunities include highways, carparks and potentially flood alleviation although we will explore most general civil engineering opportunities with the exception of lineside rail. Initially this person would be based at our Berwick Green site in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol supporting the existing site team before moving across to one of the new schemes.
Montel have plans and a commitment to develop the southern area into a £25 million+ regional business based out of Bristol and believe that this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing team and really make a personal difference to the growth and profitability of the overall business. Must worked on NEC forms of contract and inner city road construction.

Professional Skills
- Ideally a civil engineer by trade with HNC/HND/Degree qualifications
- Commercially astute – responsible for the P&L of their project and is expected to understand cost control and monitoring as well as value management and generation – working alongside the commercial team
- Good working knowledge of the NEC and ICC forms of contract
- Demonstrable management skills in civil engineering projects
- Ability to produce and maintain contract and working programmes and understands the commercial implications of such (Montel use MS Project)
- Good report writing skills
- Good experience working on highway schemes
- Ideally NRSWA Supervisor/ CSCS (Black card)/ First Aid at Work/SMSTS
