Senior Project Manager – £30m Civils & Enabling Works Scheme – London

My client  are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager on a permanent basis to join their team on a £30m Civile & Enablign works scheme in Central London where they will be coordinating the of delivery of infrastructure enabling works natural stone paving  cladding, architectural metalwork and landscaping  to sectors including commercial, retail, and high end residential sectors.

As an experienced Manager who has a track record in managing civil engineering projects, from start to completion. The holder of the role will be expected to oversee all aspects through design, production and installation There will also be a need to assist in mentoring others to aid in improving the skillset, professionalism and efficiency of the management team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects of up to a value of £30m to high standards by budgeting and programming from inception to completion
  • Manage all phases of the project, from contract award to close out, to meet all contractual requirements.
  • Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence
  • Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Make sure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures.
  • Monitoring and communicating project financial performance and administration for all assigned projects
  • Oversee the co-ordination of site staff, subcontractors and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs
  • Act as a point of contact, managing relationships with all stakeholders such as design team, production team, site team, client, etc.
  • Implement and comply with Health & Safety policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice including regular safety inspections within the allocated business area
  • Any other duties reasonably requested

The Successful Contracts Manager:

  • Previous project management experience in the Construction Industry
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers and suppliers
  • Team Leader with organisational skills
  • Demonstrable experience working at senior management level
  • Project Management qualification
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in a construction/engineering related discipline required
  • Broad knowledge of construction techniques with high technical expertise across many types of construction and forms of contract, specifically they will have good working knowledge of the NEC, and JCT  contracts.
