The Company
My client is a civil contractor based in Sydney and they are a family owned business with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. The company specialises in multiple shoring and stabilisation works, namely Anchoring, Shotcreting, Formwork, Steel Fixing and Concrete Pumping.
The Role
The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager to successfully deliver civil projects by ensuring they are delivered to budget, time and brief. You would be willing to re-locate to Canberra or already be based in the ACT.
Duties will include:
- Assisting the Project Manager
- Project planning and programming tasks
- Liaising and managing client relationships
- Monitoring performance of construction crew and subcontractors against estimates
- Reporting and mitigating performance issues
- Reporting production costs daily, weekly and monthly
- Procurement of plant, equipment and material
- Issuing PMPs, SWMs, and MSDs
About You
- Demonstrated experience working as a Site Engineer in the civil construction industry
- Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
- Proven experience in managing a control system for labour, plant and materials
- A Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
