Our client, a concrete formwork company is recruiting for a Surveyor to join their growing team.
In business since 2013, their team has extensive experience in a wide range of projects including, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, multi-story residential and commercial concrete structures, high-end architectural concrete, seismic upgrades, and marine work.
They do projects in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Island.
Rate: $35 – $45 per hour (negotiable)
Duties include:
- Field data collection
- Setting horizontal and vertical controls
- Topographical surveys
- Responsible for performing on-site monitoring of construction activities to ensure work performed fully adheres to specified and established grades.
- The most important part of this role is double-checking grades and helping the foreman make sure quality is met.
- Experience with Civil 3D AutoCAD, Topcon, and Trimble GPS is essential.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand plans.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and procedures.
- Concrete formwork experience preferred.
- Experience in working in a team environment or working alone
- Time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate the following personal attributes: honesty and trustworthiness, respect, flexibility, and sound work ethics.
Required license or certification:
- Valid Drivers Licence
