BC based Real Estate Developer and Builder currently seeking to add a highly skilled wood-frame Project Manager for their growing team in the Vancouver for projects throughout the local market and lower mainland.
Currently have a significant pipeline of work for the local area, projects vary in size and scope but are usually $40m+ – The role comes with a competitive salary, bonus and significant benefits for the successful applicant.
Responsibilities:
The role of the Project Manager is to successfully lead and oversee all aspects of each assigned project. The Project Manager will work hand in hand with both the Development on-site teams as well as all suppliers, subcontractors and other with all external parties ensuring on time completion, budget compliance and in accordance of all design and construction documents providing a safe working environment for all. Establish and manage schedules, subcontractors, vendors, contracts and negotiation, safety policies and implementation, value engineering and quality control.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 4-7 years of lead construction experience with a General Contractor or Developer, must have previously completely projects from start to finish for ground up wood-frame mixed-use residential projects.
- BSc in Construction Management or similar construction related degree or equivalent amount of hands on experience.
- Strong communication, leadership and relationship building experience working with Superintendents, development team, architects, engineers and other parties as required to ensure project success.
- Oversee on-site staff providing assistance where required including working with subcontractors and vendors including schedule updates, ensuring quality of work and contract compliance.
- Experience with budget tracking, updates, change orders, progress reports and value engineering as required.
- Strong knowledge with leading teams, construction practices, procedures, safety protocols and building codes.
- Highly organized with proven ability to meet project deadlines.
- Skilled problem-solver who can manage challenging situations effectively.
- Team player who can both lead and mentor junior staff ensuring a positive working environment.
- Expert software proficiencies.
