My client is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Officer to join their Irish team. The Company is a large multinational organisation and has a proven history of delivering the highest quality medical devices. Main duties will include but are not limited to.

  • To completely implement all EH& S policies and procedures, as well as to ensure continuing compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Assist with the continuing development of the Site’s Safety Statement, which will include Hazard Identification and Hazard Risk Assessments and Hazard Control Programs and participate in their implementation.
  • Conduct routine Environment, Health, and Safety audits in all areas of the Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Coordinate and provide high-impact Environment, Health, and Safety Training to all workers.
  • Coordination of actions of the Health and Safety Committee, Fire Wardens, First Aiders, Risk Assessors, and Emergency Response
  • Accidents, events, and near misses must be reported, investigated, and addressed in a timely and professional way.
  • To offer resources for the implementation of emergency procedures as well as to distribute important Environment, Health, and Safety information to all.
  • To foster a good and proactive culture of environmental health and safety within the business by promoting active involvement.
  • To supply Management with clear and simple EH&S reports regularly.

To be successful in your application you will ideally possess the following

  • Relevant Qualification
  • 2+ years of experience in a Health & Safety role in a manufacturing setting would be preferred but not essential.
  • Good Communication Skills.
