SSA are recruiting a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a Tier 1 Main Contractor within Waterford in a site-based role. This is a permanent position in Waterford within the company.

Our client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor who has a demonstrated portfolio of landmark projects and has a continued pipeline of work both within the Southeast and across Ireland.
About the role:
- Site – based role within Waterford on a sizeable Pharmaceutical project.

- Become part of an established and developed Safety team within Waterford.
Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee and review site performance.
- Assist in the overall compilation of Health & Safety Documentation.
- Ensure that personnel are understanding of their duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure that the company’s HSQE policies, procedures and systems are adhered to.
- Report on the overall safety performance of project teams and subcontractors and provide feedback on this.
- Perform Toolbox Talks.
- Actively participate in the promotion of health-related risks and on-site training.
- Ensure that inspection records are maintained and preserved for all activities and plant equipment.
- Actively consider health and safety strategies and assist in further developing policies.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following
- Minimum 1 years post-grad construction experience within health and safety required.
- Main Contractor Experience preferred but not essential.
- Qualification in a related discipline.
