Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team and support the successful delivery of complex construction projects from start to finish.
Position Overview As an
Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and supporting the Project Manager in driving project success. You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and the site team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities - Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing all phases of ICI construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure clarity and alignment with project scope.
- Coordinate and distribute essential project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Support procurement efforts, including preparing bid packages, reviewing subcontractor quotes, and drafting contracts.
- Track project schedules and deadlines, ensuring milestones are met.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and identify potential risks or delays, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist with preparing monthly reports, payment applications, and other project-related documentation.
Qualifications - Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Coordinator in ICI construction.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (asset but not required).
- Experience supporting projects from tender through close-out.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office, and related construction software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary: $75,000 - $85,000, based on experience.
