Business Development Coordinator

The Company:

The company is a leading Civil Engineering firm recognized globally for our expertise in designing and supplying components for innovative Civil Engineering projects. We specialize in reinforced backfill applications, including MSE retaining walls and other geotechnical structures, supporting major Civil Engineering projects across Canada and parts of the Caribbean. To date, we have delivered over 1.7 million square meters of face area across more than 10,000 MSE walls nationwide. Our extensive experience spans projects of all sizes, from small arch bridges to large-scale design-build endeavors featuring 100,000 square meters of retaining walls.

The Position:

As a Business Development Coordinator, you will be essential in driving our company's growth and success. You will collaborate with the Business Development team to uncover new business opportunities, forge relationships with potential clients, and support our overall expansion strategy.

  • Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive insights to inform business development strategies.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, including online research, networking events, and cold outreach, building a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through effective communication and follow-up to understand their needs and present appropriate solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and pitches that highlight our company's capabilities and value proposition tailored to client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams to support and achieve business development goals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates and revenue growth, to assess the effectiveness of business development efforts and identify improvement areas.
  • Personal Development: Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.
  • An associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within the construction materials or geosynthetics industry.
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software such as Salesforce, with experience in SharePoint and PowerBI.
  • French language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across Canada for up to a week at a time.
