Our client, with extensive experience as a mechanical and electrical contractor operating in Mississauga, Ontario is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to continue building their growth trajectory in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) region. A prior knowledge of mechanical and electrical works would be a strong asset.

As a key member of their team, reporting directly to the VP of the business, you will play a pivotal role in expanding their client base and driving revenue through strategic business development efforts. The primary focus will be on securing new maintenance contracts, for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive new business acquisition through proactive prospecting methods such as utilizing your existing network, cold calling and market research for new opportunities
- Identify and engage potential clients through strategic networking and marketing efforts
- Develop innovative strategies to address client objections and negotiate favourable terms
- Create compelling promotional materials and presentations tailored to client needs
- Follow up on sales leads and conduct client meetings to assess requirements and propose solutions
- Foster strong client relationships through regular communication and engagement initiatives
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) highlighting their value proposition
- Achieve and exceed agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales targets
- Provide regular updates on sales activities and market insights to the VP.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using CRM software
- Participate in industry networking events and trade shows to promote their services and expand their reach

G License required to visit prospective partners
5+ Years of prior business development experience is a requirement
