THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a busy civil utility contractor with active underground infrastructure projects running across the Lower Mainland. They're looking for an experienced Civil Foreman who leads from the front — someone who knows underground utilities inside out and can keep a crew on track, on grade, and on schedule day to day.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
A well-established civil utility contractor operating across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam. Their core scope is underground utility construction — storm, sanitary, watermain — for municipal and private sector clients. Consistent workload, experienced site leadership, and a team that takes quality and safety seriously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a civil construction crew day-to-day on underground utility and site servicing projects
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, grade sheets, and project specifications
  • Coordinate daily work plans with the Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Enforce safe work practices in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations
  • Monitor production and ensure work is completed on schedule and to specification
  • Liaise with inspectors, utility locators, and other trades on site
  • Complete daily reports, pre-task plans, and timesheets
  • Mentor and develop crew members
  • Hands-on involvement in the work as required — this is a working foreman role
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years in civil construction — underground utilities, storm, sanitary, and watermain experience essential
  • Proven experience leading crews as a foreman or lead hand
  • Ability to read civil drawings and work to grade
  • Strong safety mindset — WorkSafeBC compliant throughout your career
  • Valid driver's licence — Class 3 or Class 1 an asset
  • OFA Level 1, Confined Space, WHMIS — current certifications preferred
  • Traffic Control certification an asset
  • Comfortable working across multiple active sites in Metro Vancouver
WHAT'S ON OFFER
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Steady, year-round work with a strong project pipeline
  • Benefits package
  • Projects across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam
  • Supportive site leadership and a team that values doing the job right
