Role Overview Our client is hiring a Construction Project Scheduler who would be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules that support successful project delivery. Working closely with project managers and site teams, this role helps ensure schedules align with project scope, milestones, resources, and contractual requirements. The scheduler contributes to planning activities, supports the coordination of project sequencing, and provides schedule updates, reports, and analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Work with project teams to collect information on scope, milestones, and constraints.
- Communicate schedule progress, risks, and impacts to project teams.
- Assist in standardizing scheduling practices across projects.
- Prepare schedule analysis reports and help identify critical paths, constraints, and potential recovery strategies.
- Review subcontractor schedules for alignment and identify required adjustments or improvements.
- Support integration of schedule requirements across multiple disciplines and project phases.
- Perform resource-loading, levelling, and forecasting activities where needed.
- Ensure schedules align with the owner's billing structure and assist with progress reporting.
General Responsibilities - Provide technical guidance to project teams on scheduling concepts and tools.
- Participate in meetings with project managers and internal stakeholders to review schedule performance.
- Maintain awareness of industry scheduling trends, software updates, and best practices.
- Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers.
- Support project controls functions such as cost tracking, risk assessment, and planning alignment.
- Complete related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements - Approximately 7+ years of experience in project scheduling within construction.
- Experience supporting scheduling on infrastructure or industrial projects - water/wastewater experience would be beneficial.
- A degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of project sequencing, dependencies, and critical path methodology.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to gather and analyze scheduling data and prepare clear reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with project teams.
Salary - $110,000 - $130,000
