Overview: We’re looking for a Deficiency Technician to join our team — someone who understands construction, takes pride in their work, and knows how to represent a company well. You won’t be on the tools every day, but a strong working knowledge of residential finishing is essential to assess issues, communicate with trades, and ensure a great homeowner experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Respond to homeowner service requests and perform site assessments to identify deficiencies.
- Evaluate and coordinate resolution for issues involving drywall, tile, minor plumbing and electrical, and carpentry.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and subcontractors.
- Manage documentation of deficiencies, work orders, and follow-ups.
- Support homeowner walkthroughs and post-occupancy reviews.
- Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications: - Experience in residential construction, with hands-on understanding of finishing trades.
- Proficient in diagnosing issues across drywall, tile, plumbing/electrical, and carpentry.
- Professional appearance and demeanor — someone clean-cut, courteous, and respectful.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to growing with the company long-term.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (vehicle allowance or company vehicle may be considered).
