Responsibilities and Tasks - Operate document control processes across categories and classifications to ensure effective creation, management, recovery, and revision control.
- Produce reports relating to document control inboxes.
- Carry out routine document control activities including document release and publishing, query handling, transmittals, copying, scanning, and library management in line with the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM).
- Provide support on document numbering, metadata application, and the use of Document Management Systems (DMS), while ensuring compliance with document control procedures.
- Maintain and check accuracy of existing document records.
- Support departments with issuing, receiving, and tracking of documentation both electronically and in hardcopy.
- Ensure all submissions maintain a full ‘chain of evidence’ in line with compliance requirements.
- Support the Security Liaison Officer (SL) on site.
Skills and Experience - Proven experience in document control with strong technical knowledge of Document Management Systems (DMS).
- Understanding of British Standards, legislation, and licence condition requirements.
- Awareness of government legislation relating to data protection and copyright law.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and professional approach in all interactions.
- Knowledge of electronic file production, retention, and management.
- Familiarity with working on databases, technical documents, and drawings.
- Experience with file transfer portals.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with a team.
Requirements - Previous experience in a similar role.
- Security Clearance (SC) – existing clearance would be advantageous.
