Overview
Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Designer to join their buildings team in Toronto. The successful candidate will have over 3 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings and excel at working collaboratively with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver code-compliant, high-quality designs.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and basic electrical analyses.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions.
• Support construction through RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site visits.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project schedules.

 
Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in building electrical design.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OESC, OBC, and applicable CSA/IEEE/IES standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• EIT, CET, or P.Eng. (or eligibility) considered an asset.
