Job Title: Geotechnical EIT (Engineer-in-Training)
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: $70K – $85K (depending on experience)
About the Role: Our client, a well-established engineering consultancy in Vancouver, is seeking a
Geotechnical EIT to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical design, site investigations, and construction support, while working alongside senior engineers on a variety of infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and conducting geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock sampling and field testing.
- Support the preparation of geotechnical reports, recommendations, and construction documentation.
- Contribute to slope stability, foundation, and retaining wall analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in design review, QA/QC, and client correspondence as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.
- EIT designation or eligibility to register as an EIT in BC.
- Some academic or internship experience in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and take initiative on projects.
