Our client is a leading real estate development company dedicated to creating exceptional residential high-rise projects in Vancouver. With a growing portfolio of iconic buildings, they are looking for a highly motivated and experienced High-Rise Superintendent to join their team.
Position Overview:
As a High-Rise Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction and completion of our high-rise projects in Vancouver. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management:
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of high-rise construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all activities are executed on time.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide clear communication to ensure project objectives are met.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship and materials comply with project specifications.
  • Identify and address any quality issues promptly.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for on-site personnel.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance.
  1. Communication:
  • Maintain regular communication with project managers, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Provide progress reports and updates on project status.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  1. Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Manage project-related paperwork and records.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in high-rise construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering high-rise projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Vancouver.
  • OSHA certification and safety training preferred.
