SSA Group has partnered with a leading civils contractor based in the southeast of Melbourne who is seeking a HSEQ manager to join their team.

- To maintain a safe workplace, proactively establish, implement, and oversee corporate environmental and safety policies, practices, and procedures in accordance with OH&S legislation standards.
- Keep an eye on and uphold FSC and ISO accreditation compliance.
- Along with the designated site supervisor, conduct pre-starts and site establishments, site safety walks, and progress inspections.
- Help in the creation of environmental, health, and safety strategies specific to the location.
- Keep an eye on and oversee the safety compliance of the company's assets, such as the test and tag register, vehicle service and safety schedules, equipment inspection checklists, first aid kits, etc.
- Provide tender teams with the necessary paperwork.
- Recognise, comprehend, and put into practice HSE laws and related client procedures.
- Oversee and uphold safety procedures and evacuation schedules in both office and construction
- Ensure that safety protocols and evacuation plans are followed at both the office and the construction site.
- As needed, find WHSE training opportunities for all estimators, construction supervisors, and other employees of the business unit.
- Enable workplace examinations and internal assessments while keeping an eye on adherence to the protocol for reporting and investigating incidents.
- Controlling supplier conformance
- A diploma or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- More than 4 years experience within Health and Safety
- More than 4 years construction site-based experience
- Experience and knowledge of the requirements of the Federal Safety Commission's WHS accreditation schema
