Join Our CAD Design Team as an Intermediate Civil Engineer!

Our client invites applications from dynamic individuals to be part of an established engineering and environmental consulting firm as an Intermediate Civil Engineer – 3D Designer. They are a company well known for their excellence in project management and consultation services, catering to Municipal, First Nation, and Private Projects.

Position: Intermediate Civil Engineer, Civil3D Designer
We are seeking a skilled individual to complement their growing CAD design team. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background in civil, water/wastewater process, and structural engineering projects. This role involves collaborating effectively with engineers and senior technical staff to deliver design projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years College Engineering Technician/Technology Diploma.
• At least 5 years of Canadian consulting engineering experience with expertise in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit design.
• Proficiency in technical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit Structural, and GIS.
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong self-discipline to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
• Familiarity with municipal engineering and construction industry standards, particularly in civil, water/wastewater process, and structural engineering.
• Knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
• Understanding of engineering specifications and contract documentation.
• Excellent command of English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of detailed AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit design drawings for various projects.
• Develop civil, structural, architectural, and/or water/wastewater process design drawings.
• Ensure designs adhere to current engineering standards and practices (OPS, AWWA, OBC, MECP, etc.).
• Coordinate assignments with other subconsultant disciplines such as architectural, HVAC, and electrical.
• Assist in developing and updating design templates in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.
• Determine design material take-off quantities.
• Assist with tender documentation.
