Intermediate Civil Engineer - Structural Specialization – Remote/Hybrid

We are a well-established engineering and environmental consulting firm renowned for our exceptional project management and consultation services across Municipal, First Nations, and Private Projects. We are currently seeking a skilled Intermediate Civil Engineer specializing in structural engineering to join our expanding team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a robust technical background in structural engineering for buildings and bridges. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage junior engineers and project team members, support various company sectors, build strong client relationships, and drive business development for the business.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of Canadian work experience.
  • Proven experience in the design and structural analysis of buildings and/or bridges.
  • Proficiency in working with structural engineering materials like concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Experience with municipal, First Nations, and/or private sector projects.
  • Eligibility or active membership with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and Ontario design codes and guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong time-management skills and self-motivation to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with client and government approval processes is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design structural components for civil infrastructure, buildings, facilities, and bridges.
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed designs, calculations, layouts, and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously with effective prioritization.
  • Contribute to proposals, feasibility studies, designs, and other assignments.
  • Develop and implement engineering procedures and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineering staff and students.
