Job Title: Intermediate Estimator – Institutional Construction

Location: Greater Toronto Area

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year

Are you a detail-oriented estimator with a strong background in institutional construction? Our client, a reputable general contractor, is looking to add an Intermediate Estimator to their pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that delivers high-quality institutional projects across Ontario.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity take-offs for institutional construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and risk
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Prepare bid submissions and support in value engineering exercises
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure alignment on budget and scope

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of estimating experience specifically within the Ontario ICI construction market
• Proven experience working on institutional projects such as schools, healthcare facilities, or public buildings
• Strong proficiency with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar software
• Excellent understanding of Ontario construction codes, standards, and bid processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation:

• Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000, based on experience
