Project Coordinator – Civil Marine New Westminster, BC Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: We are looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to support our client project teams throughout the bidding and execution phases of civil construction projects. Reporting to the Group Vice President or their designate, the role involves assisting with project planning, administration, and coordination to ensure smooth project delivery. Responsibilities:
Support and adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality programs, including continuous improvement initiatives
Assist or lead preparation of work method statements, safe work plans, and hazard assessments
Participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections
Understand client requirements, contracts, and technical specifications, assisting with estimating equipment, materials, and resources
Help Project Managers prepare for project commencement
Submit material and equipment requisitions accurately
Ensure permits and permissions are in place before work begins
Assist with project invoicing and supporting documentation
Provide ongoing administrative and coordination support to Project Managers and Superintendents as required
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Eligible for AScT or Eng. certification upon meeting experience requirements
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications
Conduct on-site surveys
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Motivated and eager to learn
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
Must have reliable transportation to various worksites
Working Conditions:
Willingness to work across the Province of BC and Canada as required
