Position Overview
An experienced Project Manager/Estimator is required to support ongoing growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of the earthworks and civil construction industry, along with experience on commercial and residential projects.


This role is responsible for overseeing projects from initial estimation and bidding through to successful delivery. Working closely with Operations and General Superintendents, you will play a key role in reviewing estimates, coordinating execution, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.


A solid understanding of the full project lifecycle is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates, bids, and proposals for civil and earthworks projects
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved
  • Work closely with Operations, Superintendents, and project teams to plan and execute work
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Coordinate schedules, resources, and subcontractors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Track project progress and provide updates to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • P.Eng. designation is an asset
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Project Manager and/or Estimator role within civil construction
  • Experience in oil & gas and earthworks projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, estimating, and project management principles
  • Experience working within Alberta and knowledge of the local construction market
  • High attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
