About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor - Data Centres for an exciting opportunity based in Berlin, Germany. In this senior role, you will oversee commercial management for multiple data centre projects, drive cost optimization, and ensure the highest standards of contract performance and financial control across the region.
  
What You Will Do

• Lead commercial management for major data centre construction projects in Germany
• Prepare, monitor, and implement cost plans, contracts, budgets, and service specifications
• Prepare requests for quotations, evaluate quotations, and assess contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Award contracts and manage the control of supplements and variations
• Prepare and negotiate payment plans and monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs)
• Process invoices, final invoices, and payments to suppliers, subcontractors, and customers
• Manage tender processes including preparing contract documents and specifications
• Carry out risk and value management and comprehensive cost control
• Advise on procurement strategy and manage contractual claims
• Prepare cost estimates, review tender calculations, and oversee maintenance projects
• Analyze results and prepare detailed progress reports and cash flow forecasts
• Evaluate completed projects including all payment transactions

Essential Requirements

• Quantity Surveying, Business or technical degree or comparable qualification
• Minimum 3-5 years of construction site experience, data centre experience preferred
• Sound knowledge of contract law, including FIDIC and EPC contracts
• Legal knowledge including BGB and VOB regulations
• Fluent German and English language skills (essential for team and client interactions)
• Independent, structured working approach with strong initiative and assertiveness
• Excellent leadership, people management, and team-building abilities
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills
• Willingness to travel and work on construction sites
