Senior Bridge Engineer to play a key role in their expanding portfolio.
So what's the opportunity?They're looking for a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in transportation, rail, and transit infrastructure projects - particularly across the GTA and surrounding municipalities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings a strong background in
MTO, Metrolinx, and TTC standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and rehabilitation of bridges, culverts, and transit structures in urban and corridor settings
- Ensure all deliverables comply with MTO, Metrolinx, and TTC requirements
- Prepare and review structural drawings, technical reports, design briefs, and tender documents
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, geotechnical, and environmental consultants
- Mentor junior engineers and support quality assurance efforts
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide construction support
- Liaise with municipal clients and regulatory bodies (York Region, Peel, Durham, Halton, Hamilton, etc.)
- Contribute to proposals and support strategic project planning
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s an asset)
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario
- Must have or be eligible for MTO RAQS qualifications (multi-span preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge engineering, with a portfolio of MTO, Metrolinx, and TTC projects
- Strong familiarity with CHBDC, OSIM, and relevant structural codes
- Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., MIDAS, CSiBridge, SAP2000)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
