Senior Civil Designer

We are currently seeking an individual with over five years of experience who possesses a keen interest in honing and expanding their skills as a Civil Designer with a company offering fantastic professional development opportunities. 

In this position, you’ll contribute to the civil design aspect across a diverse range of projects. As an integral team member within our organization, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues and engage directly with clients on multiple ongoing projects. Your role will involve direct interaction with corporate managers and owners, primarily focusing on technical and drafting responsibilities for various project assignments. This will include:

• Site Planning for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Designing linear infrastructure, which encompasses both private and municipal roadways, facilitating the conveyance of stormwater, sanitary systems, water mains, and utilities.
• Creating plans for multi-lot subdivisions.
• Handling municipal infrastructure, urban drainage, and stormwater management.
• Preparing technical reports, securing approvals, and specifying calculations.

Experience/Qualifications:          

• In-depth expertise in preparing site plans, functional servicing reports, and stormwater management and construction management reports.
• A thorough understanding of local municipality standards and specifications.
• Proficiency in creating CAD drawings for construction purposes.
• Extensive knowledge of municipal sewer design, aligned with local policies and procedures.
• Experience as the main point of contact.
• Proficiency in analyzing, designing, and implementing water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewer systems, stormwater management, and grading and drainage designs.
• Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or completion of a Civil Engineering Technology Program, or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience within the consulting industry.
• P.Eng or C.E.T. preferable, although not essential
• Possession of a valid Class G driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Highly skilled in using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads
