Estimator - Building Envelope Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Façades Estimator to join our pre-construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of façade systems, including curtain walling, cladding, rainscreen, and glazing, and will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for façade packages
• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and main contractors to clarify scope and requirements
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and value engineering proposals
• Attend tender meetings, site visits, and pre-award negotiations
• Maintain an up-to-date database of material costs and supplier information
• Support handover to the commercial and delivery teams following project award

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Estimator, ideally within façades, cladding, or curtain walling
• Strong understanding of façade systems and installation methods
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and technical drawings
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ConQuest, or similar)
• High level of numeracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering (preferred)
