Senior Principal Civil Engineer - Kelowna, BC
 
We are partnering with a well-established consulting engineering firm in BC that is seeking a Senior Principal Civil Engineer to provide leadership across a variety of civil infrastructure projects. This is a senior, high-impact role based in Kelowna, ideal for someone with extensive consulting experience and a passion for guiding complex projects from concept to completion.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of major civil engineering projects, including municipal infrastructure, land development, transportation, and industrial works.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, technologists, and project teams.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, resourcing, and risk management to ensure successful delivery.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and technical deliverables in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for project growth and new business development.
• Represent the firm professionally in the community, industry events, and with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration (or eligibility) in BC.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering consulting, including leadership of complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS) and familiarity with Canadian design standards.
• Strong strategic, organizational, and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to team management.

Compensation:

• Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000
