Senior Project Manager - Buildings/Structural – Remote/Hybrid

About Us:

We are a well-established engineering and environmental consulting firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional project management and consultation services across Municipal, First Nations, and Private Projects. We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager specializing in Buildings/Structural engineering to join our expanding team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid technical background in project management and engineering for buildings and multidisciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage intermediate engineers and project team members, support various company sectors, build strong client relationships, and drive business development.

  • Degree in Civil/Building Science Engineering with at least 10 years of Canadian work experience.
  • Strong project management skills with extensive experience in building projects.
  • Proven experience in the design and structural analysis of buildings and/or structures.
  • Proficiency in working with structural engineering materials like concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Experience with municipal, First Nations, and/or private sector projects.
  • Eligibility or active membership with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and Ontario design codes and guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong time-management skills and self-motivation to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design structural components for civil infrastructure, buildings, and facilities.
  • Manage building, structural, and multidisciplinary building projects.
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed designs, calculations, layouts, and specifications.
  • Handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously with effective prioritization.
  • Contribute to proposals, feasibility studies, designs, and other assignments.
  • Develop and implement engineering procedures and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineering staff.
