Job Description

A growing civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to play a key role in the development of its newly established Chesterfield office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take a leading role in shaping the commercial function for a new regional base, overseeing a portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the Midlands and North.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and commercial performance — from tender through to final account — ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in line with client and business expectations.

Key Requirements:

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial best practice
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Ability to build and manage client, subcontractor, and internal relationships
