Job Description

SSA have partnered with a well know Marine and Civils construction company as they are on a look out for a Marine Sub Agent / Site Agent. You’ll support the delivery of complex marine and heavy civils projects, including piling, dredging, jack-up barge operations, and marine logistics. You’ll oversee temporary works, manage HSE compliance, support cost and programme control, and liaise with designers, subcontractors, and commercial teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee marine operations: jack-up barges, marine vessels, piling, dredging, diving, steel fabrication
• Support temporary works design, planning, and implementation
• Manage lifting operations (Appointed Person preferred)
• Produce project programmes, RAMS, and handover packs
• Track costs, progress, and change events
• Assist with commercial reporting and invoicing
• Maintain QA, HSE, and project records
• Ensure subcontractor compliance and site safety standards
• Contribute to COSHH assessments and toolbox talks

Requirements:

• Civil engineering degree or HNC (marine background desirable)
• 3–5 years’ experience in civil/marine site operations
• Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office skills
• Familiar with temporary works and lifting operations
• Valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and UK driving licence
