Position: Surveyor/Engineer

Location: New West

Our client is seeking a proficient and versatile Surveyor/Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a technical diploma or degree, with construction experience and expertise in surveying, including the use of robotic total stations and Autocad software. Revit experience would be advantageous. Fluency in Spanish is considered a valuable asset.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct field surveys using robotic total stations and other surveying equipment to gather accurate data for construction projects.
  2. Perform topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking as required.
  3. Assist in the preparation of survey plans, drawings, and reports using Autocad software.
  4. Collaborate with project teams to interpret construction plans and specifications, and provide technical support as needed.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of project schedules, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate surveying activities and resolve any issues.
  7. Stay updated on industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in surveying and engineering.
Requirements:
  1. Technical diploma or degree in surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in surveying, construction, or engineering roles, with proficiency in the use of robotic total stations and Autocad software.
  3. Familiarity with Revit software is preferred, but not required.
  4. Willingness to perform both field survey work and office tasks as needed.
  5. Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  8. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
