About the role: My client is looking for a Health & Safety Manager to be based out of one of their development sites in London to ensure that the construction project is executed safely and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.

 

About the Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for the construction site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for all site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain an emergency response plan for the construction site.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and report findings to senior management.
  • Maintain records of health and safety training, incidents and accidents.
  • Represent the company at health and safety meetings with regulatory bodies.
  • Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and ensure the construction site remains compliant.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety considerations into construction planning and design.

 

About the Requirements:

 

  • A degree in safety engineering, occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • A thorough knowledge of local health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant health and safety software.
