SSA are recruiting a Project Manager for a specialist drylining contractor.

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role on large commercial and residential projects.

My client is a leading contractor in the drylining industry who offer a wide rage of services to some of the UK’s biggest contractors and developers.
About the Role:
· Project management of commercial and residential projects
· Request and check specifications
· Raise material requests for orders on projects
· Check project handover packs prior to starting to ensure all information is correct prior to starting work
· Assist with on-site set up including setting out and panel sizing and resolve on site issues
· Ensure systems are being installed according to manufacturers specification
· Arrange and negotiate labour rates for subcontractors where required
· Instruct labour for projects
· Liaise with clients/contractors throughout project
· Quality control on projects
· Documenting quality on projects
· Site visits to check H & S is being followed and carry out on site stock checks / stock control
· Take offs from drawings as required and check measure drawings
· Pre start meetings and site visits
· Create completion paperwork for projects
· Assistance with risk assessments and method statements
· Valuations submitted to assist company invoicing
· Valuations / invoice approval for sub contractors
· Weekly budget and cost analysis reporting
· Coordinate meetings with site team
· Updating clients

About the Candidate:
· 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager working on drylining projects
· Excellent communication & negotiation skills (verbal and written), with team, suppliers, site supervisors and clients
· Strong commitment to the role and delivering on objectives/deadlines
· Able to work under pressure and prioritising to meet deadlines
· Numerate and literate with very good spoken English
· Good knowledge of various computer packages including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Callidus (desirable)
· Experience liaising with and instructing labour
· Focus on contract management and delivery of projects on time, on budget and to a high standard
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Efficiently managing own time and working alone as well as part of a team
· Computer literate and good knowledge of various computer packages including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Callidus
