My client is a proud, privately and locally owned Western Australian company specialising in supplying the Land Development and Resources & Infrastructure sectors with industry leading survey and spatial information services across Australia and beyond. They have a core of qualified, experienced and professional staff that is backed up with modern facilities and technology including state of the art survey, computing and mapping equipment. Current staff totals more than 90 employees, which includes Licensed Surveyors, Engineering Surveyors, Photogrammetrists, GIS Professionals, Computer Programmers, Draftsmen and Cartographers. They have office locations throughout Australia. In addition to the Jandakot Head Office, they also have working offices in Bunbury located in the South West region of Western Australia, Broome and Kununurra in the Kimberley, Port Hedland and Newman in the Pilbara and Melbourne in Victoria.
  
The Role

The primary purpose of this role will be to manage a range of East Coast Operations projects on time and budget, safely and accurately within Victoria and the East Coast. My clients strategy capitalises on business opportunities that complement and build upon existing capability. The East Coast Operations team deliver specialist land surveying and geospatial information services to the Land Development, Civil Engineering, Engineering Construction and Mapping sectors on the East Coast of Australia.

About You

The Project Manager will be a motivated, experienced Professinal in the Land Development sector with a minimum of 5 years technical experience in the field.

See below for core responsibilities;

  • Creates expectations for quality and excellence across the team and ensures staff are focused on service delivery.
  • Able to understand, interpret and conduct all works in compliance with the relevant legislation and QMS and HSEMS.
  • Manage survey projects to conclusion, ensuring MNG and client service are met. Including but not limited to cadastral and land development projects and all works required to completion.
  • Sound understanding of land development, infill and building sub-division requirements, processes, administration, and management.
  • Manages project deliverables by assisting with coordinating field staff to undertake surveying duties for clients, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information is provided to meet client expectations.
  • Assist with managing project budgets and monitoring of financial performance of projects, actual costs vs. quote/budgeted cost and report to the Manager on any overruns.
  • Conduct risk assessment on all safety matters according to MNG and client requirements.
  • Build and develop client relationships.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the client ensuring client satisfaction and the Company goals are met.
  • Builds and maintains Company profile by attending industry and other functions for Networking opportunities.
  • Maintains and develops Client Relationships; connects with new business leads and ensures follow up appointments are conducted.
  • Oversee subcontractors for various projects as required, ensuring QMS compliance prior to project commencement.
  • Facilitates and attends team and client meetings for progress project reviews.
  • Facilitates and attends project startups and debriefs.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before presenting to client.
  • Provide instruction as to field work requirements, review works and outcomes.
  • Manage the team to align with best practice, to mitigate company risk, ensuring the health and wellbeing of employees in accordance with the Health, Safety & Environmental Management System and Quality Management System;
  • Fulfil the requirements of the enclosed capability profile
