Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and execute work assigned to the project team
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of company policy
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with trade contractor and design consultants to facilitate construction activities
  • Monitor/control construction activities to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious cost situations and implement corrective measures
  • Participate in cost Trade Contractor coordination meetings and ensure their project schedules are kept.
  • Monitor and control Trade Contractor construction activities and performance through the direction of onsite Superintendent and Project Coordinators.
  • Participate in the assignment of staffing for various tender packages
  • Review and understand the scope of each trade tender package
  • Plan and coordinate the function of Project Coordinators with Superintendents (this includes coordination with Scheduling, Estimating, Administration, Contracts, Control, and Quality Control)

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in related fields such as Construction Management or Engineering
  • 5 + years of experience high rise residential
  • Previous experience leading a project from start to finish
  • Project Management Professional considered an asset
  • Ability to lead and drive projects to completion
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
