Are you ready to follow your passion within a vibrant and forward-looking consultancy? We’re actively seeking an Intermediate Civil Design and Drafting Technician to become an integral part of our team, stationed at either our Chilliwack or Surrey location for a permanent full-time engagement.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Spearhead design and drafting initiatives for an array of infrastructure enhancement projects, spanning from residential land development to commercial/institutional sites, stormwater management, roads, and highways. Leverage AutoCAD Civil 3D to steer projects from conceptualization through to completion.
· Develop foundational drawings and maintain meticulous record drawings.
· Skillfully interpret and incorporate pertinent bylaws, codes, and standards into the design process.
· Collaborate on the formulation of meticulous specifications and insightful reports.
· Contribute daily updates and actively participate in design and team meetings.
· Provide valuable assistance with miscellaneous tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Possess a minimum of a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma, complemented by a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
· Exhibit a commanding proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant civil design software.
· Display a comprehensive grasp of civil design principles, including the ability to interpret and comprehend intricate technical civil design drawings and specifications.
· Show a fervent desire to amass experience within the Civil Industry, concentrating on infrastructure projects.
· Demonstrate impeccable analytical and detail-focused skills, coupled with exceptional aptitude in time management and problem-solving.
· Showcase a robust knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
· Display the flexibility to work autonomously with minimal supervision or seamlessly integrate within a collaborative team environment.
· Excel in interpersonal communication and exhibit excellent communication skills.
· Demonstrate a willingness to travel to project sites, with the possibility of extended assignments (negotiable).
· Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) and have access to a vehicle.
· Uphold a safety-first mentality, underpinned by a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
· Possess eligibility to work in Canada.
NICE TO HAVES
· Previous involvement in surveying, conducting field reviews, and gathering field data.
· Practical exposure to computer modeling of stormwater, wastewater, and water systems.
