ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR – VANCOUVER

If so, then continue reading as I’m currently partnering with a sizeable and well-known Electrical Contractor as they search to bring in an Electrical Project Manager to join their dynamic and high-performing team.
Reporting to Director of Project Management, as Electrical Project Manager you will have much responsibility across overseeing and managing numerous high-profile projects across the Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Institutional sphere throughout the Lower Mainland region from “cradle to grave”.
Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Manage, lead and oversee delegated projects with varying time-frames, budgets, labor requirements & costs
- Engage in pre-construction estimating work including estimating project costs, and submission of tenders – utilizing Accubid estimating software
- Liaise with project teams consisting of Electrical Superintendents, Foreman, Design Team, Field Staff to define project requirements & scope, acquire project resources, and supervise such teams
- Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including the allocation of necessary resources, documentation, etc…
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure milestones are met and project delivery is on schedule
- Participate in project reviews to foster the continuous and process improvements
- Develop an individual network of new Subcontractors and Suppliers in an ongoing effort to improve company offerings
- Maintain and grow current business and client relationships. Business develop and seek new clients when possible
Requirements for this position:
- 3+ years’ hands-on electrical project management and estimating experience across Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Institutional projects
- Degree qualified – Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
- Previous or current electrical estimating experience. Understanding of Accubid or Bluebeam software is advantageous
- Comfortable in managing multi projects from “cradle-to-grave”
- Strong problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and communication skills
