Locally owned Full-Service Real Estate Developer and Builder seeking to add a skilled Estimator to their growing team in Bellevue. My client has a number of long-term projects already under construction with plans to expand their portfolio in the Pacific North West. Based out of Bellevue they are seeking to speak to Estimators with experience in the PNW in multifamily, commercial and mixed-use developments.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineers, architects, owners and subcontractors throughout project duration ensuring accuracy of costs and project requirements meeting all deadlines.
- Ensure all relevant information is correct with complete overview of all project expenses.
- Join a collaborative team work environment advocating for customers to establish strong relationships and business opportunities.
- Ability to prepare and make accurate cost estimates across all scopes of work in a timely manner.
- Develop variance reports as the design evolves – prepare value engineering studies throughout.
- Understand and present unit costs factors which can affect construction costs.
- Devise estimate packages and present clearly to clients for cost accuracy.
- Collaborate with project team for staffing requirements and specific project needs.
- Strong bidding process experience including but not limited to: evaluating subcontractor proposals, soliciting bids, communicating with bidders and ensuring accuracy.
- Ability to engage and develop business with new and existing customers.
- Experience presenting bid packages, budget information to owners/customers.
- Review contracts and identify key insurance key insurance issues.
- Ability to lead, mentor and motivate project teams during the preconstruction phases.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field – Preferred but not required, equivalent years of experience also considered.
- Experience with identifying project issues while providing an innovative and creative approach to finding solutions.
- Team player with strong communication skills, a positive go getter attitude and who can work with internal and external parties.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of estimating experience with previous exposure to at least one of the following markets: Multifamily, Mixed-Use or Residential ground-up.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Estimating software’s (Timberline, etc.), take-off software’s, BIM products (Revit, etc.) and exposure to scheduling software such as Primavera.
- Preference for candidates with local knowledge and experience.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
