Our tunneling/infrastructure client is looking to add a Field Engineer professional to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be performing a wide range of tasks and supporting business priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position will be based in Toronto
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers using correct safety policies.
  • Perform quality inspections for temporary and permanent materials, develop and comply with ITPs, issue NCR for delivered materials and make sure action is taken to close all NCR on time 
  • In coordination with project leadership, assist with the coordination of activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Assist superintendent in their daily operation, ensuring delivery of all materials as per operation schedule, generate and issue daily reports, track and report any internal or external delays onsite, ensuring operation has all the required permits, construction plans, and most updated revision of site-specific safety plans and emergency response plan.
  • Identify purchasing needs and initiate the purchase requisition process.
  • Provide planning, reporting, and forecasting support to project leadership.
  • Track permanent materials and bulk commodities per established procedure.
  • Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or engineering technologist in Civil or Mining Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of related construction experience with a contractor; tunneling, trenchless, or heavy civil construction.
