Local Mechanical Contractor active for over 20 years in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland are looking to add a Mechanical Foreman to their expanding team. As a business on the construction side (also have a maintenance division) they have doubled their workforce in recent years and continue to acquire new work.
The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Foreman and completed at least one project start to finish preferably on a local civic project. The company focuses on ICI projects throughout the Lower Mainland and offer great growth opportunities including a 3-month review to establish where new employee’s stand in helping them move forward and learn.

Responsibilities:
- Lead field operations for on-site team while working with the project manager or lead superintendent.
- Oversight on labor schedule including assigning tasks to team members.
- Ensure work is completed to specifications and to the highest standards as per design.
- Follow costs including labor, materials and changes to ensure project budget is on target.
- Lead, mentor and train all on-site employee’s setting an example and achievable goals to team members for continued success and growth together.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and lead toolbox/morning meetings.
- Communicate effectively with all parties including owners, external clients, sub-trades, suppliers, inspectors and lead contractor.
- Report to Project Manager with project updates and requests when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years as a Lead Mechanical Foreman – must have completed a ground-up ICI project from start to finish.
- Experience with schedule oversight and cost control (budget) as a Foreman.
- Ability to make independent decisions when required based off experience.
- Clean driving record.
