We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring the profitability and timely completion of our projects. As a Project Manager, our ideal candidate will schedule the work of the project with our many on site departments to ensure we meet deadlines and monitor the sales target of the week. This candidate is a high achiever and is results driven with exemplary attention to detail and demonstrated communication from start to finish of each project received.
Experience with Project Management in a mid-size business is required.
 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Daily client correspondence within a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
  • Sense of urgency needed with each project
  • Primary scheduler for woodshop, upholstery, sewing, shipping, assembly, foam, and pillows department
  • Achieve shipping sales target of the week
  • Work alongside production team from inception to completion of orders to establish congruency throughout entire project
  • Monitor project progress and set deadlines
  • Ensure profitability and conformance of delivery
  • Keep all constituents on plan

Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years as a certified PMP would be considered an asset, but is not a requirement
  • 2+ years as a Project Manager and managing people is a requirement
  • Understanding of fabrication materials pertaining to furniture construction is an asset, not a requirement
  • Ability to work in a team with multiple departments is a requirement
  • Excellent ability to communicate
  • Strong ability to multi-task and remain organized
  • Demonstrated experience in production scheduling and planning is required
  • Proven ability to work with highly skilled craftspersons’ is a requirement
  • Competence with Microsoft Office

Education:

  • High School Diploma (minimum)
  • Post-Secondary Education in business or project management is considered an asset, but not a requirement
