Senior Environmental Team Lead
 
Manage all technical & operational aspects of the “Environmental Division”, which shall provide all Environmental, Designated Substance Study, and other services for private and public clients.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and co-develop the technical strategy with the president for developing and maintaining a technical roadmap that will continue to innovate from a technical standpoint.
  • Determine employment strategies of the Environment Division, including the hiring and termination of employees.
  • Execute co-operate action plans.
  • Generate marketing and business development on behalf of the Engineering Division and the Corporation.
  • Ensure client satisfaction including maintaining good client relationships and client development
  • Create monthly financial statements and supervising the accounting of the Environment Division’s financial books and records.
  • Provide strategic planning and implementing strategy to grow the existing Environmental Division revenue and existing
  • Manage and fulfill Environmental Division’s target revenue, staffing goals, prepare annual business plan, strategy, financial targets sale and profitability. Evaluate the success of the Engineering Division pursuant to key performance indicators established in the Business Plan.
  • As part of the growth plans for the Environmental Division, participate in the development of new service offerings.
  • Conduct business development, marketing, lunch & learn sessions for promoting Company’s services to the public and private client educational resources.
  • Take part in Meetings on regular basis with the senior leadership of the Corporation to receive guidance and final determination as to the organization of the Engineering Division and timeline of the Engineering Division’s work-related and strategic decisions.
  • Build and support an outstanding team of Environmental Specialists and deliver first class service to the Clients.
  • Implement environmental policies and practices and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Provide environmental training to staff at all levels and manage a team of technical, scientific and engineering staff across Employer’s various offices.
  • Carry out annual departmental and staff appraisals, writing plans and reports.
  • Keep up to date with changes in environmental legislation and initiatives.
  • Liaise with other office Mangers and provide continued supports.
  • Prepare proposals, liaise with clients and ensure business development.
  • Write technical reports and conduct site meetings with clients.
  • Audit, analyze and collate performance data and reporting.
  • Comply with Company’s HR policies, internal Standard Operational Procedures, Health and Safety and ensuring quality control/quality assurance of field work, field data analysis and engineering calculation.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, geological engineering, or other related disciplines along with 6 – 10 years relevant experience.
  • Registered as or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng)
  • Registered as or eligible to register as a Qualified person (QP Status)
  • Proven experience in writing successful proposals, work plans and conducting business development is mandatory.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment at a senior project management level. Formal project management training will be considered an asset.
