As their operations continue to grow they are looking for an Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager to join their team.
Purpose of Position:
The successful candidate will be part of the operations team in the GTA. As a member of the Estimating division they will provide insight to ensure the profitability and continued growth of the company. The candidate will be a major part of the company working on multiple projects at any one time with values ranging between $1-15Million.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials and labour expenses
- Travel to job sites to gather information on materials required, Labour costs and other factors
- Use computer software to calculate estimates
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients and contractors on estimates
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Recommend ways to make projects more cost effective and or profitability
- Develop project plans for the duration of projects
- Ability to lead a team of estimators
Required Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- 6+ years estimating experience on medium to large complex projects in the North America ranging from $5M to $15M in value
- Experience in estimating civil infrastructures such as bridges, roads, highways and earthworks
- Experience using estimating system and capacity to adapt to new estimating software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to lead a small team of Estimators through multiple bids.
