This Senior opportunity is for a self-motivated Geotechnical Engineer who is team-oriented with outstanding experience in design and project management across industries including Dam and hydroelectric, mining and heavy civil infrastructure. Your primary role will be to lead junior and intermediate geotechnical and civil engineers in their engineering design work. You will carry out assignments of a more demanding nature by yourself, and you will be expected to seal your work. You will also be involved in the Business Development (BD) for Geotechnical engineering services.

• Act as project manager and technical lead for geotechnical projects

• Provide expertise in geotechnical and sub-surface infrastructure solutions
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, specifications, and drawings

• Prepare and manage site investigation plans
• Carry out geotechnical investigations, geohazard evaluations, air-photo/LiDAR interpretations,

• Hydro dams
• Earth dams and levees
• Waste rock stability
• Drilling, field investigations and laboratory testing
• Shallow/deep Foundation analysis and design
• Liquefaction potential assessment
• Mentor, coach and train less experienced professionals as required.
• Develop strategic client relationships
• Provide support to BD opportunities with technical expertise (including proposal preparation)
• Travel to project sites mainly in Canada

• B.Sc. or M.Sc.in Civil Engineering; an emphasis on geotechnical engineering is required
• 15-20+ years of experience in geotechnical projects
• A high level of proficiency with advanced 2D and 3D static and dynamic soil-structures interaction and geostructural design software such as Plaxis 2D et 3D, FLAC2D et 3D, Roc Science (RS2/RS3, RSpile, Slide2/3),Geostudio (Slope/W, Sigma/W, Seep/W)
• Profound knowledge in the fields of geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics and applicable codes, standards, procedures, safety and other regulatory requirements and guidelines
• Professional engineer designation with EGBC or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
