Senior Project Manager, Hazardous Materials

The Senior Project Manager will work out of the Dartmouth, NS office and provide project management functions for a select few large Client accounts. The Senior Project Manager will also participate in staff development, including training, coordination, and quality control for junior and intermediate staff in the Hazardous Materials Groups.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare proposals for hazardous materials and IEQ investigations and remediation/abatement work
- Oversee hazardous materials and IEQ consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and remediation/abatement work
- Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects
- Responsible for business development with existing clients
- Train and mentor project technologists
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in any of the following: construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, indoor air quality.
- 5 – 10 years experience providing hazardous materials consulting and project management for a large national client.
- Minimum 7 years experience as a Project Technologist performing hazardous materials assessments, abatement inspection, and air monitoring, preparing asbestos management plans, proposals for consulting services, and contract documents.
- Excellent technical report writing skills – ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- High attention to detail

- Availability to work outside or core business hours
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and car are required (work-related travel will be compensated)
